An Idjerhe elite and grassroot mobilizer from Boboroku subclan, in Idjerhe kingdom, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr Alex Saniyo has revealed why former House of Assembly member and the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Executive Director for Finance, and Administration, Barr John Obukowho Nani should be elected as the next Delta Central Senator.
Saniyo, who spoke to Vanguard at the weekend in Jesse opined that the former Commissioner of Environment was not only the best candidate to represent the senatorial district but would bring dividends of democracy more than others before him.
According to him, the Senatorial district needs someone who is capable of creating job opportunities while bringing development and tackling empowerment, stressing that the man popularly known as Aghwemutuwevwi, after his chieftaincy title, is currently one of the Delta State politician with a name that is synonymous with development.
Saniyo claimed that Nani is currently doing well as the Executive Director of DESOPADEC, opening up roads, touching schools and building infrastructures in Delta State towns with the help of the governor.
He said, “Dont forget that he did well as the Commissioner of Environment in the State, opening up canals and touching lives in that position.
“I appreciate all what he has been doing, he was also the former Delta State House of Assembly member and of course his impact on Ethiope West is still visible till this day, so I m calling on him to contest as the Senator to represent Delta Central, I will do all I can to support him and i will reach out to others too to see how we can support him, we want him to contest and be our Senator”
Comr Saniyo then thanked Chief Barr John Nani (JON) for matching words with action in his present position as the Executive Director for Finance and Administration in the board of DESOPADEC.
“He is not only tested but trusted, and he has helped to developed the state and actualise the SMART agenda of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’, we want Barrister John Nani” he said.
It should be recall that Urhobo Youth Leaders Association, in Delta Central led by Hon Chief Ofoni Anthony, had called on Barr Nani to contest for the position of the Delta Central Senate, citing that Barr Nani, has distinguished himself in the areas of youth/human capital development in the 24 kingdoms and that the youths leaders, were willing to support him.
