The gubernatorial candidate under the auspices of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the March 18th election in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON has urged Nigerians to see the New Year, 2024, as an opportunity to brace up for a better country.
Gbagi said this in his New Year message to Nigerians, particularly Deltans, contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Kenneth Orusi, on Sunday December 31st 2023.
He further urged the people to hope for a better country and State, urging them to have a renewed hope and positive mindset in the new year.
The former Minister of State for Education, who felicitated with Deltans and all Nigerians as they stepped into 2024, charged them to show gratitude to God for the grace granted them and their families in 2023.
The largest private investor in the State, said the New Year, is the beginning of a new journey, a new chapter, a fresh opportunity to start and recover from the losses of 2023.
He said “going forward, we should retool our disposition to imbibe new ways and embrace new traditions.
“Cultures that would correct the faultiness in our State and nation and promote peace, guarantee security, and hope to all our people”.
According to him, Delta State and Nigeria must prioritize such habits that entrench accountability, justice, and peace in its systems.
Olorogun Gbagi, stated further that no matter the present realities today, “whether good, bad or ugly, sweet, sour or bitter, we must continue to hope and strive for greater honour and glory for ourselves, our nation and the State in this New Year and beyond”.
The security and entrepreneurial expert also commended all Deltans and Nigerians for their patriotism and courage amidst daunting challenges.
“On behalf of my family, political, business associates and the Social Democratic Party, I wish you all a very prosperous New Year ahead”, Gbagi said.
