As part of the Rero TV 5th Anniversary Celebration in Sapele on Wednesday 13th August 2025, we honoured a few Non Governmental Agencies in Delta State and also some key individuals who have touched lives in Delta State.
Though not present, we decided to honour the Director General, Delta State Contributory Health Commission, Olorogun Dr Isaac Akpoveta for his immense role in impacting the society.
Over the years the Delta State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme has rendered succour to millions of Deltans and Olorogun Akpoveta has overseen this gesture by the Delta State Government.
Recently, from his own pocket he paid for the enrolment of 1,000 Deltans in his Community of Ofuoma in Ughelli.
All these prompted us to shortlist the Philanthropist and health expert for the award.
