My great Leader and Mentor, it is with a joyous heart that I pen this tribute to you on your Birthday Anniversary.
As your former aide on Security matters and Special duties, I wish to thank you for your meritorious works in setting Delta State on a pedestal of progress.
Your nickname “Ekweme the Road Master” was not a fluke as you left an indelible mark on every Local Government, every town, village, street in Delta State.
Your people oriented style of Leadership has given many solace where they felt they had down tools. You took the burden of Deltans at heart like a true leader would and catapulted her fortunes to the apex with your pragmatic style of equitable distribution of the commonwealth of Delta State.
My Leader, you saw the pain of Deltans and the urge for the Urhobos to produce a successor to you and you honored that agreement by not only bringing a governor from Delta Central, but in your magnanimity for fairness, you took it to the Okpe extraction and gave us a suitable, well experienced and seasoned successor in Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to continue in your giant stride with the “MORE AGENDA”.
Ekweme, Deltans are so grateful to you, we owe you dearly for your workmanlike performance while in power and today I pray for you, may God elevate you to the next level, and may your stolen Presidential mandate be restored back to you.
You will transcend your indefatigable achievements to the national level so Nigerians can have a taste of the success that Deltans enjoyed during your reign.
