The Director of Publicity for the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State Dr Wilson Omene has reacted to the alleged rumors that incumbent Governor of Delta State Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa has endorse the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as his successor come 2023 for Governor.
Information spread on Monday 14th March by popular and controversial journalist Fejiro Oliver, publisher of SECRET REPORTERS, that the Delta State Governor has thrown his weight behind the incumbent speaker of the House of Assembly.
Reacting via a telephone conversation with RERO TV, Dr Wilson Omene, the Director of publicity for the APC in Delta has frown at the issue, labeling it as undemocratic and a decision by Okowa to cover his tracks of years of ineptitude in Delta State.
“Okowa has ran a government of nepotism, satisfying only his people with a barrage of thugs surrounding him.
” We’ve always known PDP to be an undemocratic party, they are known for corruption, ineptitude and other undemocratic method of governance.
“We won’t be surprised if Okowa handpicks Oborevwori. I won’t be surprised in so many front because first of all he is the man who gave him (Okowa) approval for N12bn loan that did not take up to 48 hours to rubber stamp it for the governor to run away with. They couldn’t even account for it, so their history is very open and they can’t be of any benefit to us in Delta.
“It is now rumored that he has handpicked his colleague in crime in terms of looting the treasury of our commonwealth.
” Somebody who is helping you steal government money without blinking or control, they have ran DESOPADEC dry without giving the authority power to run the place.
” I think he wants to cover his tracks by bringing in Oborevwori who is neck-deep to his activities of thievery. “
