Dear delegates,
warm greetings from DCCG. Further to our first message, the pertinent question we have to ask ourselves at this critical moment of another electioneering is, -What price did the self acclaimed owners & godfathers of Delta State politics pay on our heads in 1999, that has given them the licence to enslave us till date? Is this price, if any, irredeemable? Our honest answer is, ZERO price. Rather, they took and are still taking advantage of our docility & misplaced gangster worshipping attitude to trounce us under their feet.
The truth is that, nobody can make you inferior and enslave you perpetually, unless you permit it. Therefore, this is the time to redeem ourselves from the grip of the slave masters of Delta politics. All we need to do is to reject them during the primaries by voting for an independently minded candidate who will not be a puppet and errand boy to any body.
A candidate who can create wealth in form of internally generated revenue and not those whose main attraction to government house is the monthly allocation from Abuja. A person who will not allow professional looters with supper glue fingers an unfettered access to our
treasury.
A candidate who will ensure that our monies are used for the common good of all Deltans and not for themslves and cronies. It is in the light of the above that we have embarked on credibility and capability assessment of all 10 candidates from Delta Central and will make the position of our choice candidate known soonest.
Let us be vigilant, because we are aware that they have deployed their usual strategy of distributing cash to buy delegates. Let us resolve this time around not to sell ourselves into slavery for another 8 years.
Reject their money if you can, if not, collect it. After all, it was indirectly stolen from you. But reject them with your ballot on the day of primaries. That is the duty you owe yourselves your generations and all Deltans at large.
