It was the first time he would be commenting on the 18 March election after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday declared the candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori, the winner of the poll.
The philanthropist cum renowned Criminologist said on Tuesday that he would seek redress in court to reclaim his stolen mandate.
He faulted the conduct of the election, saying that the fraud and manipulation experienced in the election were unprecedented.
While thanking his wonderful supporters across Delta State and world for the show of love, he called on them to be law abiding citizens while “we go back to the only last hope of the common man which of course is the judiciary”.
Hear him: “The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), of Nigeria, Delta State chapter, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM, OON, has rejected the entire governorship election and that of the Houses of Assembly in Delta State as declared by INEC.
“This rejection has come obviously as a result of a total embarrassment from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Labour Party (LP) that are sponsored parties by the PDP.
“It is definite that the governorship candidate will seek redress appropriately in line with laid down rules.
“It is a shame that the collective will and aspiration of Deltans in the first instance and Nigeria, in general have been thwarted but hope is alive.
“I ask all my wonderful supporters across Delta State and the world to be lawful while we go back to the only last hope that is the hope of the common man which of course is the judiciary.
“I thank Deltans for being law abiding and leave God to do what he knows how to do best”.
Thank you.
