The President of Ugborhen Community in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Avwerute Ukoko David has debunk the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress in the March 18th polls by speaker, Comrade Tony Agwase.
In a statement signed and made available to RERO TV, Comrade Ukoko stressed that Ugborhen Community remains apolitical as every member of the community has the freedom to vote any candidate of their choice, thereby refuting an earlier interview Video by Comrade Agwase.
“Ugborhen community is apolitical, We don’t support a single candidate or political party.
“Mr Anthony Agwase spoke on his own capacity, not for the whole community. The indigenous people of Ugborhen have the right to vote for any party or persons they so desire.
“Again Anthony Agwase is the speaker of the Ugborhen community Development committee not the speaker of the Elders council which is the highest organ of governance in Ugborhen community.
” As the president of the oil rich community, I stand to say that Ugborhen community will vote for any party or persons they so desired”. The statement read.
