LEST WE FORGET FOR EQUITY SAKE
*A case for Mosogar in the Delta State House of Assembly.*
Since the inauguration of Delta State House of Assembly in 1991 upon the creation of Delta State from the defunct Bendel State, Ethiope West LGA have been fairly represented as representatives have always been present to represent the good people of the Local government.
However, it has become a concern to some of us that a particular axis of the Local council area has never got representation in the state Assembly, the Mosogar axis.
Democracy is only achieved where there is fairness, equity, justice and fair representation of the people. These dividends of Democracy has seemed to have been denied the good people of Mosogar kingdom.
Traditionally, the seat of ETHIOPE WEST in the state’s unicameral Assembly is zoned interchangingly between the OGHARAEFE/OGHARA-EKI Zone and IDJERHE/MOSOGAR Zone. Upon zoning between the two zones, the seat would religiously be micro- zoned to the existing micro Zones to reflect equity, justice, fairness and participation.
In the oghara axis, it is interchangeably shared between OGHARAEFE and OGHAREKI, while in the IDJERE AXIS, there exist the sharing between the Jesse axis and Mosogar axis.
Besides the state Assembly zoning, most, if not all other dividends of Democracy have been seen to be shared to reflect this sharing formula and it has created stability, development and satisfaction to the good people of ETHIOPE West.
Unfortunately, whereas OGHARAEFE, OGHAREKI and IDJERE have got representation in the state legislative house, it beats fairness, equity, tradition and thus Democracy that no one in Mosogar has ever been elected to represent the people.
This of course remains in the heart of well meaning Mosogar indigene that the zone has been short changed for these periods spanning thirty-six years (1991-2027). For the record, the persons who have represented the good people of ETHIOPE West LGA in the state Assembly and their micro Zones are:

I therefore want to call on the leaders of ETHIOPE WEST LGA, both political, traditional, youth, religious and every well meaning indigene of ETHIOPE WEST to understand why it is not only fair and just to zone Delta State House of Assembly seat in the 2027 general elections to the Mosogar micro zone, it will seem partial and undemocratic to ignore this Mosogar zone com 2027.
Any opinion or opinions which seek to ignore Mosogar for the 2027 general election will be seen to be self-serving, self-seeking and self- Centered. Mosogar kingdom has a lot of qualified sons and daughters who can judiciously and adequately represent the good people of ETHIOPE West state constituency in the state Assembly.
As a matter of principle, I want to advise all major political parties in the Local council area to zone the position of Delta State House of Assembly to the Mosogar axis for equity’s sake which has never benefitted from such traditional zoning.
