Information available to Oasis Magazine shows that any moment from now, the Member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ben Igbakpa, will dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State for the New Nigeria Peoples Party , NNPP, in his quest to continue in the Green Chamber.
Recall that Igbakpa lost to daughter of former governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, Mrs Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu during the party’s primary recently.
But, some Ethiopians believe that he performed well and should be allowed another term, but the Ibori factor stopped that from happening.

Speaking to the lawmaker on Friday through a telephone conversation on the matter, he initially said: “I don’t know, I have not decided on that.”
When pressed further on the genuineness of the source of the information, he added: “Is there any source that is more genuine than me? Cause it concerns me. I am the original source. When I am ready, you will know or have they published my name under any political party? I will speak to the press when I am ready.”
But when asked if he was aware that an indigene of Abraka and a lawyer, Barrister Christian Akpokiniovo bought the House of Representatives form for NNPP and may have withdrawn from the race for him, Igbakpa said: “Well, the Electoral Act permits withdrawal, but for me, I have not decided and when I decide I will address the press. So, maybe you call another time. But, I know that I will be running.”
