Former Speaker of the Sapele Legislative Arm and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Rt. Hon Igho Adibor has describe the defection of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the APC as a step in the right direction.
Hon Adibor who represented Sapele Ward 4 as Councillor made this known in a statement forwarded to RERO TV, where he went further to highlight the immense projects ongoing simultaneously in Sapele by Governor Oborevwori, stating that his defection is much needed to consolidate on the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“I received with huge gladness the news of the defection of our amiable Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori into our great Party, APC.
“It is a step in the right direction and i am positive that the MORE AGENDA will be felt more now as it consolidates the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
” In just less than Two years in Office, Governor Oborevwori has touched every Local Government Area in Delta State with projects and Sapele has not been left out.
” You can feel his impact already across the timber city, with projects running from Olympia, to Benin Road down to Uko Road, Anegbe Lane linking road and more.
” Governor Oborevwori has also hinted that he wants to Unite our party to victory in 2027. I want to assure him of our unwavering support for his second tenure.
” His move to the APC is a square peg in a square hole and i want to urge all Deltans to rally behind Governor Oborevwori as he means well for all”. He concluded
