Renowned security expert and governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has commiserated with the family of late Ivan Omorhiakogbe, who died as a result of “stray bullet” from operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in Okpanam Road, Oshimili north local government area of Delta State.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, to the SDP standard bearer on Saturday July 15th 2023, stated that while expressing utter shock at the death which he described as “very painful and unfortunate”, Gbagi said he is in deep pain over the demise of the baby.

He prayed that God Almighty would console members of the family and grant the soul of the departed Ivan, peaceful rest.

He however, expressed hope that police investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of Ivan, would uncover the truth and lead to the prosecution of the culprits.

“I, once again, commiserate with the family for the loss of their son in the unfortunate incident and pray for God to give them the heart to bear this irreparable loss”.

The statement reads, “Gbagi, is deeply saddened by the news of the death of Master Ivan Omorhiakogbe.

“As a security expert, I call for thorough investigation of the matter to ensure that those who are responsible for this heinous crime are brought to justice.

“I call on all security agencies including the Department of State Services and the police to spare no expense in fishing out the culprits”, he added.
