MANIFESTO OF ENGR. ABRAHAM OVIE FOR HOUSE OF REP, OKPE, SAPELE AND UVWIE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
I like to commend everyone for the great support so far and to reassure you that I am fully committed and ready in the struggle to liberate the people of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie (OSU) Federal constituency from the shackles of oppression and to rebuild our confidence to be able to become self-sufficient.
For far too long, our people have suffered oppression in the hands of a few notorious leaders who control the resources that is meant to feed and support our communities. Our people have been neglected and disposed by a few opportune individuals who only focus on themselves and their cronies after getting elected to the corridors of power.
I say “ NO MORE TO OPPRESSION, NO MORE TO INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP”.
Let us join hands together to usher out these rootless, habitual and uncaring leaders out of the corridors of power. Let us tell them that power belong to the people. Let us try something different. Let us support a new system with a vibrant, quality and effective leader. Someone with the heart of innovation that can truly turn our communities to world class standard. A place where the law will work for everybody. A place with equal opportunity for everyone not only a few set of individuals.
I Abraham ovie promise to work hard and to sponsor bills at the National Assembly that will drastically change the lives of our people in OSU federal constituency.
Our people need better laws that will work for everyone irrespective of tribe, age, education, belief or gender.
The time is now to challenge the current status quo. Let us not miss this great opportunity to change history.
As a young vibrant man who have traveled far and wide, I have seen and learnt that the only way to help your fellow men is to teach them how to fish and not just giving them fish. This is why my vision is to massively engage in job creation by sponsoring bills that will attract both foreign and local investors to invest in our communities. My vision is to empower the people through industry and manufacturing companies where Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local government areas will become known worldwide as a major exporter of Agricultural products and other indigenous products. We have the capability and Human Resources to make Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie federal constituency, one of the largest food hub in Africa.
As these cannot be achieved without stable power, I will ensure OSU federal constituency is steadily illuminated with uninterrupted power supply as viable transformers shall be installed across our constituency which will encourage better industrialization. Clean water supply will be made available as bore holes will be installed across as well.
It has come to my notice that conducive housing is not available to our people and my office shall embark on housing projects which shall again make our people feel what it is to live as humans. Proper sanitation projects and environmental beautification projects will be launched across our great OSU federal constituency, which shall make us stand out as a constituency to emulate in our dear nation. These are what even African countries are already enjoying but our country is still left behind which we must say “NO” to this anomaly. Let us use our resources judiciously.
I am running for the office of the federal house of representative because I know that I can use the influence of the office to change the lives of our people. That is my only vision.
Are we not tired of recycling the same old-time politicians who do not care about the welfare of the people? Let us tell them that we are not fools and that we are tired of all their failed promises.
The people of OSU federal constituency have suffered for too long in the hands of our corrupt and ineffective leaders. Let us tell them with our votes that we need something different. Let us shock them with our new and drastic approach.
The kind of laws that we currently have now directly impact our lives, that is why we need a vibrant and inspiring young minded individual with a passion for development in our communities to represent us at the national house of assembly to ensure that we are not being short-changed at the national level. We need someone with a loud voice, someone that can express the pains of our people. We need a technocrat, someone equipped with the modern day Technology and understands the true meaning of leadership.
Abraham Ovie is a technocrat and has vast knowledge of leadership. Abraham Ovie is passionate about the future of our children and our communities.
The kind of leader that will represent the people equally, the kind of leader that understands what the poor and the rich people are going through.
One of the major problems that we are facing is the implementation of the law in Delta state and that is why these corrupt leaders don’t want to work. They are comfortable in a society of lawlessness and corrupt practices because they know the law does not work against them.
I will make sure that law is fully implemented in OSU federal constituency and to bring sanity to our communities.
Sustainable development can not occur in a society without the implementation of laws, this is one of the backdrop of my vision to run for office. We need a better life for our future generation, we are tired of traveling abroad to seek for greener pasture when we have abundance of natural resources in our backyard.
Join me in this historic fight to bring development and growth to all our communities. A new system where the power belong to the people.
I will use the influence of the house of representative position to give voice to the people. The people will be able to decide what kind of project they want during town hall meetings. The people Will be my number one priority.
My representation will be felt by all people, both old and young, men and women, rich and poor will feel the impact of my representation. I will propose bills at the national house that will impact our daily lives.
There will be law and order in our communities. There will be peace which will then attract investors from far and near.
Our children will receive quality education and our economy will become vibrant again.
I will work hard to reopen sapele seaport, reopen African Timber and Plywood (AT&P). I will make sure that our teachers and civil servants are getting paid on time.
There will be reward for good behavior and bad behavior will face the wrath of the law.

With your support we can do this, with your support we can build together. Although, they say that the city of Rome which is a beautiful city was not built in one day, by small steps we can conquer the mighty Goliath.
