The Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Sapele Local Government Council Chapter, in Delta State, Hon Benson Okorodudu on Monday, March 6th, 2023 has said that; the former Delta State Governor Chief James Onanefe Ibori has directed Deltans to vote for the PDP gubernatorial candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in upcoming Saturday election.
Okorodudu who was addressing a team of journalists after an enlarge stakeholders meeting at Hon Austine Ayemidejor’s house at Igbeku in Sapele said the Oghara Chief has also agreed that it was the turn of Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie Constituency to produce the next governor of the state.
“Our leader has directed us and Deltans to vote for the Governorship candidate of the PDP, Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, he has also said it is the turn of OSU, that is Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie, we are following his directive to make sure Sheriff emerges on Saturday” he said.
On the purpose of holding an enlarge meeting of PDP stakeholders, Okorodudu said; the purpose of the meeting was to further reengineer themselves to work hard to make sure Sheriff and the Sapele House of Assembly PDP candidate Chief Perkins Umukoro emerges as winner.
The Senior Special Assistant on Conflict resolution said whatever happen on the day of presidential and National Assembly election has no effect on Saturday’s election insisting he is confident PDP candidates at the Governorship and House of Assembly election will emerge on Saturday, noting that both elections were grassroot and because Deltans have agreed that it is the turn of Delta Central and Delta Central have agreed that it is Sheriff.
The chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon Eugene Inoaghan who also addressed the press expressed optimistism as he urged Deltans to vote for the PDP party, insisting that the best candidate for the state was the PDP candidate.
The stakeholders meeting witness the presence of party VIP’s from across the local government area and beyond which include Former Governor of Delta State, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, Chief Felix Anirah, Hon Austine Ayemidejor, Chief Omoraka, Hon Richard Randy Okotie, Dr Austin Arieja, Hon Festus Pemu and others.
