BREAKING: Ikpeazu’s Chief of Staff, Okey Ahaiwe, Wins Abia PDP Fresh Gubernatorial Primary Election
Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Mr. Okechukwu Ambrose Ahaiwe has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary re-run election held today in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, for the forthcoming March 11, 2023 gubernatorial election.
The results for the fresh primary was announced by Chairman of the Abia PDP Governorship Primary Election Committee and Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
He polled the highest number of votes of 469 out of the total number of valid votes cast in the fresh primary election.
Others were, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, 12 votes; Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, 12 votes; and Sampson Uka Orji, 11 votes.
Igbere TV reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had ordered the fresh primary election following the demise of the former gubernatorial candidate, Prof. Uche Ikonne.
Okechukwu Ambrose Ahiwe, popularly known as Okey Ahiwe was born in Umuire Village, Eziama Ntigha Autonomous Community of Isiala-Ngwa North LGA, Abia State.
