Following news of the alleged impeachment of the Leader of Ethiope West LGA legislative Arm, Hon Kenneth Ibiri and two others, fresh facts have emerged debunking the process as incomplete.

Recall that Rero TV published the letter of impeachment with 11 Councillors having signed, our source have revealed that the process was not authentic as the impeachment letter needed 12 out of 18 signature of Councillors.

In a telephone interaction our source who is also a Councillor said,
“The matter is still dicey as the process was not followed. As it stand, they did not get a 2/3 majority signature because they only got 11 and it is supposed to be 12, the leaders are wading into the matter and between now and tomorrow we will see”.

On the mace used to swear in Hon. Henry Eghwubare as his replacement, our source said, “That is not our mace, I don’t know where they brought that mace from”.
