Mosogar Chiefs suspension – Ugo Chief Jacob Ojariekre reacts, places suspension on Ovie Elect and others
….saying that these persons on suspension has desecrated mosogar traditional institution by bringing the military to harass and intimidate chiefs of the kingdom
The traditional council of chiefs, otherwise known as the Oguedion headed by the Chief Jacob Pauley Ojariekre, Ugo of Mosogar had today 28th July 2022 suspended mosogar Ovie elect Chief Sunny Okpurhe Odogu, Chief Ighoyota Amori and several others on the grounds of causing disunity and chaos, thereby bringing in armed military men and police men into the Oguedion to harass and intimidate chiefs especially from the Udurhie Ruling house.
Chief Jacob Pauley who in a press conference with NTA said that Chief sunny Okpurhe, Amori and his cohort brought in the military to intimidate the him (the Ugo) simply because he ask Chief Amori and Chief Sunny Okpurhe to account for the expenditures of the burial of the late King as chairman of burial committee and financial committee respectively.
The Ugo also stated that its only best that the duo come to the Council of chiefs brief the council of chiefs how much was realised from the government,private companys and individuals family during the burial and how much was spend in the burial of the late King so as to avoid speculatios and side talks, but unfortunately,such request didnt go down well with Chief Amori and his partner , Chief Sunny Okpurhe, according to the Ugo and hence was the reason Chief Amori has hurriedly declare his partner Chief Sunny Okpurhe as ovie elect and at the same time bringing in the military to harrass and intimidate the chiefs from rasing the issues relating to the expenditure of the burial of the late King.
Chief Jacob pauley who was ruthlessly anger from the intimidation from Chief Amori and Chief Sunny Okpurhe, their cohort by the military and the Nigeria police thereby place as a suspension on those behind this gross misconduct and intimidation,

Notwithstanding, Chief Jacob Paulay however advice the general public to disregard the rumor that him, Chief Pauley and others have been suspended by the council of chiefs, that he as the Ugo of the Kingdom has the legal right to suspend and bring back any chief that is on suspension.
