Troops of The Nigerian Army on operation UDOKA TWO conducted a raid on IPOB/ESN camp located in Osu bush, Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State on the 5th of December, 2024.
According to the Army spokesman, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the troop had been on the trail of some of the terrorists who were wounded, when they attacked a unit of the Nigerian army on routine patrol around Ehime Mbano area of Imo State last week.
For some time the people of Imo have been living in fear, afraid of the unknown as these separatists have made life gruesome for all.
According to the statement “the separatists on realising the presence of the troops within their camp, opened fire immediately.
However, the gallant men of the Nigerian Army eventually subdued the feeble firepower of the Terrorists, Killing three and arresting five who were been treated in a makeshift clinic for varying kinds of gunshot wounds.”
The General stated that the set up of the makeshift clinic, the nature of medical procedure carried out there and general operations in the camp are confirmation that these separatists had medical personnel working with them.
He promised that in the coming days the ” Criminals with stethoscope” will be Identified with a view to bringing them to justice.
The army also reportedly discovered a cache of arms including rocket-propelled grenade launchers, Six Riffles, Dane guns, charms and Vehicles.
