As the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, continues with its Primaries to enable suitable Aspirants emerge as flag bearer to represent the party in the general election, sime6 Adhoc Delegates have commended Senator Ovie Omo Agege for the Electoral Act that has prevented statutory delegates from participating in the Primaries.
One of the Adhoc delegates who spoke on the general conduct of the Primaries, said that this is one of the best Primaries that the party has conducted in ages.
“Using only Adhoc delegates to vote is one of the best thing that the party has done, it is cheaper and easier to conduct because you have few persons to coordinate”.
Another Adhoc delegate who spoke to newsmen said that he was indeed elated to be nominated as one of the Adhoc delegates, adding that what he has benefitted in the past few weeks is not what a civil servant can get if he/she was to work for another ten years. He urged party leaders to continue with the use of Adhoc delegates in subsequent elections even if by peradventure the electoral act was signed.
“Emerging as an Adhoc delegate in my ward is one of the best thing that has ever happened to me, being in the position to decide the fate of an aspirant is overwhelming. I am very elated and I want to show my appreciation by saying thank you to the leaders of my ward, I want to urge them to continue using Adhoc delegates as it will help them to save cost”. he said.
