The National Association of Okpe Students Worldwide (NAOS NATIONAL) has showered high commendation on the son of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Mr. Fred Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, for his outstanding philanthropic disposition and unwavering commitment to youth development through the Sheriff Jnr Care Foundation.
In a statement made available to newsmen, NAOS NATIONAL applauded the Foundation’s recent initiative which introduced free JAMB registration for students across Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Local Government Areas (OSU), describing it as a noble intervention aimed at easing the financial burden on students and parents while promoting access to quality education.
Speaking in a press statement issued in Orerokpe, the headquarters of Okpe Kingdom, the National President of NAOS, Comr. Government Godspower, described the initiative as strategic, timely and people-oriented, especially at a time when many families are grappling with economic challenges.
According to him, “This laudable gesture by Mr. Fred Sheriff Junior Oborevwori reflects a rare sense of compassion, foresight and genuine concern for the future of young people. By investing in education, he is investing in the future of our communities and the state at large.”
Comr. Godspower further extolled Mr. Fred Sheriff Junior Oborevwori as a true philanthropist, a bridge-builder and a worthy ambassador of purposeful leadership, noting that his actions go beyond rhetoric to practical solutions that directly impact lives.
The Association emphasized that initiatives such as this not only inspire hope among students but also encourage academic excellence and social responsibility, while setting a commendable standard for youth-driven philanthropy in Delta State and beyond.
NAOS NATIONAL therefore called on other well-meaning individuals, corporate bodies and stakeholders to emulate this selfless act, reaffirming its commitment to supporting policies and programs that advance education, youth empowerment and community development.
