The Ovie of Great Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty Udurhie 1, PhD has played host to newly elected President of Idjerhe Youth Council, Comr Desmond Emoefe Agbigbe.
The Courtesy visit on Wednesday 10th December, 2025 is to present the newly elected President who coasted to victory at the just concluded Idjerhe Youth Council elections held at the Idjerhe Clan Development Union, ICDU Hall in Jesse Town recently where Agbigbe outlasted two other Aspirants to emerge as President elect.
A large crowd of youths accompanied the New President as they were well received by the Monarch in company of Chiefs including the Otota of Great Idjerhe Kingdom, Uzzi Onosia James Obriki at the Palace in Otorho-Idjerhe.
Speaking, Agbigbe thanked the King for the warm reception before going on to speak on his plans to improve Youth activities in the kingdom.
Agbigbe thanked the Youths of Idjerhe Kingdom for putting their trust in him and assured the king and Chiefs that he will run a people oriented administration, laying emphasis on his ambition to curtail cultism activities in the kingdom.
Agbigbe went further to State his desire to collaborate with the king and leaders of the kingdom, pledging to work with authorities to develop Idjerhe Kingdom.
Responding, the Monarch congratulated Desmond Emoefe Agbigbe on his success and adviced him to see his victory as a call to serve his people. The Monarch urged Agbigbe to run an all inclusive Government and seek advice whenever the need arises.
High point of the meeting was the moment the king offered prayers to the newly elected president.
