Today, the Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council, Rt Hon Pst Nelson Oghenedoro Owoso and His Royal Majesty, King Monday Obukohwo Arthur Whiskey, Udurie 1, Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom inspected an abandoned primary school project in Orhomudia in Jesse.
The visit by the Executive Chairman of the council and the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Ovie Monday Obukohwo Arthur Whiskey to the village is a bid to revive the primary school project which was initiated by the Dr. Wilson Odafe Omene administration.
the move is to bring educational system closer to the people of the community and allow the young one’s in the community to have acess to education since there has not been school presence in the community.
during the visit, His Royal Majesty stated that children in the community have no means of education in the community, precisely the children within the range of 3 to 7,pointing that only children around and above the age of 10 years could be able to walk down to the neighbouring villages to school,thereby depriving the age range of 3 to 7 education since they can’t walk the distance to the neighbouring villages.
responding, the Executive Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Council thanked His Royal Majesty for his fatherly love, his magnanimity and for the educational love his Majesty posses for the children of the kingdom,
further speaking, the Council Chairman highlighted on some importance of early education and reasons why we should caught our children young in terms of education,
he, however assures His Majesty, the people of Orhomudia that the Government of Ethiope West would try it possible best so as to resume work, not minding the financial status and challenges the council.
Owoso appended that the school was actually brought to the community in his time as councillor representing the ward (5/9).
hoping that it would be a laudable achievement if the project is completed in his time as the chairman of the council. He however urge everyone to support this work so that the children who could not walk to the neighbouring villages can attend school the community (Orhomudia).
