The Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission Visits Mosogar over a petitioned done by Barr. Gladius Erakpotobor one of our illustrious Son from Mosogar town.
They were received by the MDU, President General, Chief (Col) O.C Akporokah, Chief(Engr) Peter Avwojekpaye and host of others.
The Team which consists Members of the NERC and BEDC Visits Ajatitor stepdown, thereafter they move to Cottage and others transformer’s in the community.
The MDU PG, Col Akporokah brief the NERC team on how he intends bringing an expert to work on the first dilapidated stepdown, but BEDC refuse to give an approval as they insist it’s their duty to work on it, but they gave condition that the community is indebted to them, of which the entire community contributed money to paid the debt amounting millions of Naira long time ago but yet the light have not be restored.
Chief Akporokah also point out that Each time they test the transformer and it fails, they don’t even give them the results of how the things fails , he also said BEDC don’t contribute their penny for maintenance of lines, He also told the NERC team on how they wanted prepaid meters but BEDC insisted on bulk meters of which the money have also been paid to BEDC, and the BEDC official attest to it.
The BEDC official said they are doing their best to restore Mosogar light, as Chief Peter Avwojekpaye debunk it, pointing that they can’t be doing their best and keep the community in darkness for 8 years, noting that the statement is not tenable.
The NERC team and the BEDC official also confirm that the transformers brought by the contractor is a Refurbish one.
The BEDC official also made it clear, that the reason they didn’t power the stepdown is because it’s a Refurbish one and below standard.
The NERC team assure the good people of Mosogar that there will be a quick response for the restoration of the light.
