The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Vincent Abobo has called for calm from Party faithful following the repainting works being done at the Chief James Ibori PDP Ethiope West LGA Secretariat in Oghara, Delta State.
The move is following the defection of the Daughter of the Former Governor of Delta State, Hon Mrs Erhiatake Ibori Suenu the member Representing Ethiope Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives from the Peoples Democratic Party, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The repainting took place on Thursday 12th of December 2024 and Rero TV correspondent was on ground to take photos of the event.
However, in a phone conversation, the PDP Chairman in Ethiope West Hon Vincent Abobo has reacted and slammed the act before going on to appeal to party faithful to remain calm as the situation is under control
“It’s a bad thing that they are doing because the facility is a government owned property.
” It belongs to ministry of sports alongside the Oghara township stadium.
“The Secretariat Was an uncompleted building during the time of Onome Ojo as Party LGA Chairman, and we all came together and made an appeal to political leaders and Governor Chief James Ibori to help complete the building.
” The Ministry of sports handed over the building to us and leaders of Ethiope West also contributed. PDP roofed the house and not a single person.
” It is a Government property and not a private property. That Chief James Ibori laid the foundation for the Secretariat and Stadium does not mean they are his personal property.
” As a Party, the PDP do not have time to waste for arrogancy, i wish all PDP members to remain calm and not retaliate as we are peaceful people and want to build our party” he added.
