Very popular Federal House of Representatives Hopeful for Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency, Dr Micheal Erotoma Omuvwie has hailed the peaceful demonstration by women and leaders across the fourteen communities in Amukpe District, Okpe Kingdom in Sapele Local Government Area which took place on Wednesday February 11th, 2026 at Amukpe Roundabout.
Omuvwie in a statement released to Rero TV, decried the incessant cases of kidnapping, Herdsmen attacks and drug abuse, stating that the action by the district is long overdue before calling on Security Operatives to beef up efforts to curtail the vices.
“Security is everyone’s business and we all must show concern for happenings in our environment. I want to commend the People of Amukpe District for showing concern and solidarity against the kidnappings, Herdsmen attacks and drug abuse among our youths.
” This is a wake up call to the Government that these negative vices has no place in our Society. Sapele as an Okpe own area is a peaceful place and we are hospitable people and such accommodating gesture should not be abused by perpetrators of these heinous acts.
“To this end I want to charge the security Operatives to intensify efforts in curtailing the aforementioned issues.
” We want peace in our community, we want our mothers to go about their farming business without fear, we don’t want our teeming youths to waste away through hard drugs as it is harmful to their health.
” Once again I commend my Amukpo people and I hope this move would yield good results” He added.
