A Nigerian Policeman, Chief Superintendent of Police Harrison Nwabuisi has emerged the winner of this year’s prestigious Observers Network International Media award.
Observers Network International Media Global awards are presented to individuals who has distinguish themselves in their various field and those who had added values and were resourceful globally to humanity.
Nwabuisi, who is the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of Sapele Police Station in Delta State, won the award for the most outstanding/active Security Personnel For the year 2021 after he was said to have led his men to confront criminal gangs, raiding kidnappers den and drug cartels that has hitherto been a no-go area untill his posting to the area.
“His job has been exemplary, different from the policemen we know, for the first time we are having a policeman who has taken the responsibility of battling crime to the extreme, combating crime head on, and also giving police a human face, his response to the reports of crime has been second to none” Mrs Overah Anthonia, Ambassador of the Observers Network International told Vanguard
She described Nwabuisi as the new face of Nigeria police, who is helping to change the perception of how Nigerians see the force.

Mrs Overah said Observers Network International, ONI was set up to recognize and encourage excellence among Nigerians home and in diaspora adding that this year award for Most Outstanding/Active Security Personnel was between 6 security Officers.
“Two Policemen, DSP Nwabuisi and a Police Officer from Niger State, a Navy Officer in Calabar and three Army officers who fought off an ambush against Boko Haram and went on to capture them but Nwabuisi won the award for his continuous battle with criminal gangs in the area, his synergy raid with National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, officers on drugs cartels in the area and how he and four other police officers went on to rescue a family of four who was kidnapped along Warri – Sapele road, among other act of bravery”
Overwhelmed Nwabuisi, who spoke to Vanguard on phone dedicated the award to the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba and the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, adding that their support has been immersed, “this will certainly spur me on, a greater call to duty “my duty is to protect lives and property and I will do my best”
A no nonsense cop, Nwabuisi was said to have led a raid on kidnappers in June this year single handedly capturing three of them after an intensed gun battle along the Sapele/Warri highway.
