The U3 Youth Empowerment and Leadership Summit was held at Civic Center Otor-Jeremi, Ughelli South LGA, Delta State. The event brought together PDP faithfuls from Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu LGAs.
Olorogun Godwin Akpokemerha, Acting PDP Chairman of Ughelli South LGA, welcomed participants and assured members that PDP is alive, vibrant, and active in Ughelli South. Comrade Kenairu Johnbull, Acting PDP Chairman of Udu LGA, expressed confidence that PDP will reclaim the federal constituency in 2027.
Pst Kesiena Nomuoja, Special Guest of Honour and immediate past PDP Chairman of Ughelli North, charged the youths to produce sellable candidates in 2027, emphasizing that PDP is a reformed party despite defections.
Hon. Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete JP, former House of Representatives Aspirant and Convener, encouraged the youths to work together as a team in preparation for the 2027 election. He empowered and appreciated them for remaining in the party despite defections, announcing that PDP will produce a youthful governorship candidate to reclaim power.
Hon. Stephen Ashiemuke, Ughelli South LGA Youth Leader, appreciated the Convener and moved a motion for a vote of confidence on Hon. Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete JP as the sole House of Representative Candidate for the party in 2027, seconded by Engr. Benedict Onovughakpor, Ughelli North LGA Youth Leader.
The event was attended by notable leaders and youths, including Ughelli North PDP Chairman, Hon. Daniel Emaye, U3 Media Ambassadors Chairman, Amb. Comrade Kpoharor Emmanuel, Chief James Shaguolo, Chief Dennis Obodje, Comrade Ochuko Erhiakpore, Kosie Frank, Igho Oku, Peter Ejihwobu, Akudo Julius, Ogheneovo Simon, Rukevwe Benedict, Okotie John, Freeborn Shageni, Timothy Ogadje, and Dolor Sunday.
