The Urhobo Youth Leaders Association (UYLA) is throwing its weight behind the Urhobo Progress Union’s (UPU) thank you visit to Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the immediate past Governor of Delta State.
The UYLA believes Okowa’s role in ensuring an Urhobo son, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori became Governor after 16 years and won over 36 court cases deserves appreciation from the UPU on behalf of the Urhobo people.
UYLA’s leadership, led by its National President, Olorogun (Amb) Samuel Onoriode Oghotomo (JP) and National Secretary Olorogun (Dr.) Augustine Ogheneovo Atiti, praised UPU’s President General, Olorogun (Barr) Ese Gam Owe, for initiating the thank you visit to Okowa in Asaba on behalf of the Urhobo people.
Now, UYLA is urging critics to set aside political and ethnic differences and focus on unity and peace, emphasizing that love should lead the way.
