Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, mni, Orhue I, on the occasion of his 20th coronation anniversary.
In a congratulatory message, Dafinone, speaking on behalf of the Dafinone family, the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, and the entire Urhobo Nation, described the monarch’s two decades on the throne as a remarkable testament to God’s faithfulness and his unwavering dedication to the unity, progress, and prosperity of the Okpe Kingdom.
The senator praised the royal father’s purposeful and visionary leadership, noting that his reign has been characterized by peace, stability, and sustained development. He said the kingdom has recorded significant economic and political progress under the monarch’s guidance, while its traditional institutions have been strengthened and its influence expanded on the national stage.
According to Dafinone, the Orodje’s fatherly leadership has continued to promote unity among the people, attract meaningful development, and elevate the prestige of the Okpe Kingdom beyond its borders.
“As Your Majesty celebrates this historic milestone, we join the sons and daughters of Okpe Kingdom, the Urhobo Nation, and well-wishers across Nigeria in thanking Almighty God for preserving and blessing your reign,” he said.
He prayed for God to grant the monarch continued good health, divine wisdom, strength, and many more fruitful years on the throne, expressing confidence that his reign would continue to serve as a beacon of peace, cultural pride, justice, and sustainable development for generations to come.
Dafinone concluded by congratulating the monarch on the memorable occasion, while reaffirming the admiration and support of the people of Delta Central and the Urhobo Nation.
He also paid tribute to the Okpe cultural heritage with the traditional salute: “Umogun! Umogun!! Umogun!!! WU NE SU TOR, WU NA RE TOR.”
