In life, there’s always a springboard — that one person or opportunity that sets the journey in motion. For me, that person has been my elder brother, Victor Ighoyota. More than a brother, you’ve been my benefactor, my father, my mentor, and my unshakable pillar.
You were the first human instrument God used to support my journey into college. The story of my higher education — and indeed, my life — would be incomplete, even distorted, without your name in its most pivotal chapters. As I reflect on my past, I am reminded of how merciful God was to spare your life six years ago, when you survived a devastating heart attack that nearly left you paralyzed.
Against all odds, today you turn 60 — a diamond age, rich in meaning and legacy. This milestone is deeply personal to me. You once told me what you’d like for your 60th birthday, and though health circumstances have shifted our plans, rest assured that your gift — something special and memorable — has only been postponed, not forgotten.
Earlier today, I sent you these words, and I pen them again with reverence:
> Yeso.
We MUST give God all the glory for His grace and mercy.
To Him alone be all the praise and glory.
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐
My one and only Chairman, Worldwide —
Welcome to your new status as an elder statesman, a title you’ve long earned through your quiet generosity, leadership, and goodwill, even as a humble salary earner.
Oshiwhinwhin —
May God bless your 60th year and grant you many more in joy, peace, and fulfilled purpose. Amen.
With all my love and gratitude,
Lucky Ighoyota
Your brother cum son
