Delta – Petrol tanker explosion in Ogbenu, Ethiope West Local Government Area, of Delta State, on Sunday October 1st, 2023 has left many families in sadness, to bear the death of loved ones and lost of properties.
The incident has brought pains, hardship, physical, emotional and physiological trauma on victims and their families.
The family of Mr Blaze Samuel is one of such family that is currently traumatized from the October 1st inferno.
Mr Blaze Samuel is one of the victims of the October 1st petrol tanker explosion, an incident that has left him in serious pains.
Narrating his ordeal, Mr Anthony Ubhide, younger brother to Mr Samuel Blaze said that his elder brother a commercial vehicle transporter was coming from Benin and was on his way to Warri, when the incident occurred.
“My brother is a bus driver, he runs Benin to Warri on a daily routine, he was cut in hold up at Ugbenu junction and was trying to manoeuvre his vehicle through the hold up when suddenly the tanker burst into flames, he immediately jumped out of his bus with other passengers when the fire cut up with him.
It took the intervention of some good Deltans who rushed him to the hospital and immediately contacted his wife at about 12 midnight.
He is currently at ENOFES MEDICAL CENTER OGHARA, were he is receiving treatment, the medicines are very expensive and we cannot foot the bills, he still needs medicine, surgery and we have already run out of cash. I am appealing to the government, good spirited Nigerians to assist my brother with his treatment and assist him get a new bus.
I am also appealing to the government to fix the road to avoid reoccurrence, my brother also needs prayers to enable him bear the pains that he is going through.
He is a family man with a wife and two children, the last is just 3 months old, he added.
