The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security, Okakuro Lt. Col. Moses Babuba Abeke (Rtd) has hailed the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for Launching the Delta State Security Trust Fund.
Babuba a retired Military Officer in the Nigerian Army and now an Executive Assistant on Security to the Governor made this known via a telephone conversation with Rero TV.
“It gives me great joy to congratulate our amiable Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for this ground breaking initiative on the launching of the Delta State Security Trust Fund.
” It is long overdue and it is a step in the right direction. Security is everyone’s business but it is imperative that the Government work overtime to safeguard the lives and properties of her citizens.
” Although Delta State has been very peaceful since the emergence of our Governor, launching the Security Trust Fund gives the State an opportunity to improve upon what is on ground.
” I congratulate our dear Governor and i urge everyone to continue supporting the MORE AGENDA for a safer Delta State”. He concluded
The launch of the Delta State Security Trust Fund by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, signifies a renewed commitment to strengthen public-private partnership in enhancing security across the state.
According to the governor, the fund originally established in 2013 is being revitalized to provide modern surveillance equipment, vehicles, communication gadgets, and capacity-building support for security agencies and vigilante groups across Delta’s 25 local government areas.
