In a press statement released from his media office, the lawmaker reminded citizens of the spiritual significance of the season, urging them to extend hands of fellowship to the less privileged in society.

“I warmly felicitate with my Muslim brothers and sisters across Delta Central and Nigeria, on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha celebration. Eid reminds us of the timeless virtues of faith, obedience, sacrifice, and total devotion to God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim. It is a sacred season for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values that strengthen our families, communities, and nation,” Dafinone said.

The Delta Central lawmaker noted that the true essence of the festival lies in compassion and collective responsibility. He emphasized that the country can only achieve meaningful progress when its diverse populations live in harmony.

“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity, and unity that defines Eid al-Adha. Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need, and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences. Our collective progress depends on our ability to live together in harmony and work for the common good,” the statement further reads.

Senator Dafinone specifically commended the Muslim community within his constituency for their steadfastness and role in maintaining regional stability. He promised to sustain his focus on people-oriented representation that empowers local citizens.

“I sincerely appreciate the Muslim community in Delta Central for your enduring contributions to the peace, growth, and development of our district. Your resilience, enterprise, and commitment to peaceful coexistence remain deeply valued. I reaffirm my commitment to inclusive representation and to supporting initiatives that empower our youths, strengthen families, and improve livelihoods across our communities.”

Acknowledging the current socio-economic landscape of the country, the lawmaker expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria. He urged the citizens to stand together and support one another through challenging times.

“At this important moment in our national journey, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and steadfast. Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation for generations to come. With faith, patience, and shared responsibility, we will overcome our challenges and achieve lasting progress.”

Senator Dafinone offered prayers for families and the country’s leadership, wishing the community a peaceful celebration.

“As you mark this blessed celebration, may Allah accept your prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship. May He grant peace to our homes, wisdom to our leaders, and enduring prosperity to our nation. I wish all Muslim faithful a joyful, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration,” Dafinone concluded.
