Top Criminologist and Senior Special Assistant on Security to the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Simon Onosa Onosa has commended the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the award of the reconstruction of Warri-Sapele-Benin road reconstruction project outlining several significant effects of the project when completed
Hon Onosa Onosa in a statement told Rero TV that it is a laudable step that will boost the Economy of Delta State amongst other benefits.
“I want to commend our hardworking Executive Governor of Delta State for his giant stride in developing our dear State. His MORE AGENDA is being felt across Delta State and the award of the reconstruction of the Sapele-Warri-Benin road project is a landmark achievement for the State. With this project :
– *Enhanced Mobility*: The project will improve mobility, reduce travel time, and enhance connectivity between major cities in the South-South region.
– *Economic Growth*: The reconstruction will spur economic growth, create jobs, and attract investments by reducing logistics costs and improving access to markets.
– *Security*: The project will strengthen security by reducing crime opportunities and enabling faster response times for security agencies.
– *Improved Quality of Life*: The project will enhance trade, transportation, and community life, ultimately improving the overall quality of life for residents.
– *Regional Connectivity*: The project demonstrates the gains of synergy between the federal and state governments, emphasizing that development becomes faster when governments work together.
The project features
– *10km Dual Carriageway*: A 10km project with 5km on each side, featuring an 8.8-meter-wide carriageway on both lanes.
– *Reinforced Concrete Pavement*: The road will have reinforced concrete pavement, expanded shoulders, and extensive stormwater drainage systems.
– *Completion within 12 months*: The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
This initiative symbolizes renewed collaboration between the Federal and State Governments for the benefit of Nigerians, showcasing the positive impact of joint efforts on infrastructure development and economic growth.
