The Executive Director of Olotu and Rowland Ekuogbe Akpodiete Foundation (OERAF) Dr Olotu Otemu Akpodiete Ph.D (JP) gave out soft grants to thirty (30) women of Otor-Ihwreko Community, Ughelli.
The event which took place yesterday 9th april, 2025 to mark the Remembrance of his late grand father, Late Chief Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Ph.D, the Otota R’ovie of the great Ughelli Kingdom who pass on the 9th of april, 1995.
Dr Akpodiete in his opening remarks, emphasized that his late grand father was a good community leader, who until his death was a great philanthropists as well.
Dr Olotu Akpodiete further reiterate that he has passionately and graciously emulate his late grand father, noting that he would continue to use his foundation to better the lives of humanity.” he added.
Chief Dr Linda Ikpuri, member, warri south properties and investment board, who is guest speaker of day, encouraged the market women to alway put every grant given to them into use judiciously. Emphasizing that whenever you are been given this kind of opportunity and you failed to use it for the purpose which it was meant for, you might not see that opportunity again.
Earlier while speaking about late chief Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Ph.D biography, Barrister (Mrs) Agboka Akpodiete-Omale, stressed that the legal icon is a very straightforward man who is also a great Philanthropist. He is a lawyer by profession, a community leader, and very generous.
Barr. Agboka stated further that because of the good life which their late father lived, you can also see it in the life of both biological, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.
Responding on behalf of the women shortly after presenting the grants to the beneficiaries, Mrs Elizabeth Oboroh, sincerely appreciated Dr Olotu Otemu Akpodiete Ph.D for his magnanimity and generosity towards humanity, she prayed God to bless the giver and promised that they (women) would definitely use the grants given to them judiciously, so as to successfully expand their various businesses.” She assured.
Comrade Emonena Akpodiete, while giving the votes of thanks appreciated the women for honouring their invitation, and thanked his younger nephew Dr Olotu Otemu Akpodiete Ph.D for the good work he is doing.
