Former House of Assembly Aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Sapele State Constituency, Comr. Lucky Ighoyota has been urged to run for any elective position in 2027 by youths in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
The call was made by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilisation, Hon Emmanuel Ayomanor, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths, Comr. Enomate Egigba and Hon. Sylvester Adjevwe, Councillor Representing Ward 8 in Sapele during a good Friday get together in Sapele on Friday 18th April, 2025.
According to the Youths, the rich antecedents of Comr Lucky Ighoyota with his untapped Political Potential should be harnessed and not jettisoned.
Ighoyota, a young and astute Political name in Sapele Local Government with a rich background in the Oil and Gas sector over time has proven to be a man of immense political knowledge and awareness which he has demonstrated countless number of times.
Speaking, Hon. Emma Ayomanor said, “The man Lucky Ighoyota must be brought to the Political limelight, his type is uncommon and with the times I have spent with him as young teens who grew up together here in Sapele and following his career trajectory, must be supported to be elected into a political office because he has so much to offer.
“Our Governor is a supporter of the youths and with someone like Lucky Ighoyota, there is so much he can bring to the fore if given an opportunity to serve”.
Comr Enomate added, “I was at the forefront of those that wanted Comr Lucky Ighoyota for House of Assembly in 2023. Although he came up short at the Primaries, I personally still believe he has a lot to give and he should be supported by all means into elective political office come 2027.
” Youths must be given a chance in 2027 because our proactive Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has proven that there is a huge space for youths to thrive in his government so we are fully in support of Lucky Ighoyota to vie for an elective seat”. He concluded.
The youths also call on Deltans to rally around the Executive Governor of Delta State for continuity in 2027 as according to them, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is changing the landscape of Delta Politics and as such should be allowed to finish his work around his MORE AGENDA come 2027.
