ABUJA — Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has felicitated the Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Dr. Ighoyota Amori, on his 74th birthday, describing him as a distinguished statesman, consummate political strategist and foremost Pan-Urhobo leader.
In a goodwill message issued to mark Amori’s birthday, Dafinone commended the celebrant for his years of service and contributions to the political development, stability and governance of Delta State.
According to Dafinone, Amori’s political journey since 1999 has been characterised by “courage, resilience, loyalty and an enduring commitment to the growth and stability of Delta State.”
The senator noted that Amori had remained a prominent figure in the state’s political landscape, contributing significantly to the evolution and stabilisation of governance across successive administrations.
“Your contributions over the years have helped strengthen political structures and promote continuity, stability and effective governance in our dear State,” Dafinone said.
He further praised Amori’s commitment to the unity and advancement of the Urhobo Nation, noting that his influence had extended beyond ethnic interests to the broader objective of building a peaceful, prosperous and united Delta State.
Dafinone described Amori’s continued political relevance as a product not only of longevity but also of his accessibility, engagement and responsiveness to the aspirations of the people.
“These qualities have earned you a distinctive place in the political history of Delta State,” he said.
The senator joined Amori’s family, friends, political associates and well-wishers in thanking God for his life and celebrating what he described as another milestone in the politician’s impactful journey.
He prayed that God would grant Amori renewed strength, wisdom, sound health and many more years of purposeful service to Delta State, the Urhobo Nation and Nigeria.
