Rero TV did report of a protest on Tuesday 21st October 2025 where many youths cried out, pointing fingers at Chief Unukeghwo, stating that she and her PIA Committee are responsible for the delay in handing over their starter packs as opposed to other trainees before them who had received theirs immediately after training.

However, in a telephone conversation with Rero TV Publisher, Mr Akporero Henry, Chief Unukeghwo has revealed her side of the story and stated that the people have been misinformed.

“I think the understanding with the CDC at the time they were trained was that after training they would get starter packs. But they were trained 2022 to June 2023, Before BOT was inaugurated in November 2023. It is their right but they do not know where to go.

” They know who trained them, They are at my residence because i am from the community’. Maybe they have been misinformed that i have their funds.

Asked where they are to get their starter packs, she said “they should ask those who trained them”

“The CDC at the time had left office and we were inaugurated about 6 months after and there was no handover from Gmou to PIA, She further disclosed”.
